Founded in 1947, the Ranch continues to keep and train its own horses and share its magic with all those who enter its gates. From its ridge of wildflower meadows and forests at 8500' elevation, ten miles above Boulder, Colorado, you'll look up to views of the snow-capped peaks of the Continental Divide. Join the Fun. The Colorado Mountain Ranch continues to have a powerful and positive affect on all who are lucky enough to experience it. It is amazing to reflect on the fact that the camp was started in 1947 and continues under the leadership of the same family to this day! Think about all of the countless experiences made within that period of time!! Think about the great impacts the ranch has had on oh so many lives! Think of all of the loving connections made-----Friendships which can last a lifetime! Truth be told, very few people actually ever leave camp. It remains a part of them and leads to many other high points later in life that they may not even be able to yet imagine. Camp can be experienced in so many different ways . Whether one is in the lodge being hosted by the Walker family and sharing a meal, hanging out with the always friendly and supportive staff, or enjoying a nice day with the hundreds of campers...... there is a positive energy about the place which is difficult to truly understand until you have the fortune to experience it. The hustle and bustle of camplife is a high that can be addictive . :) However, if you make the effort to spend some time around the lodge and its land during a more quiet period, there is a stillness and calm that can bring a true peace to your soul. Deeply breathe the air, take in the mountains and the trees, watch the birds fly overhead..... Feel the love and positive energy. :) There is a lot of good in the world,,, and much of it can be found here. I wish everyone was able to experience it.

I worked at the ranch and had a blast. All the kids were great, and i enjoyed all the activities. I learned a lot from the ranch that contributes to my ever day life, work and schooling. There is not better way to spend my summer than being at the Colorado Mountain Ranch.

That enchanting feeling at dusk and daybreak of the world awakening, the rustling of the quaking aspens, the excited smiles and delighted hearts of campers as they ride the bus up the mountain -- all these feelings have stuck deep inside me as I've gone about other adventures -- to Africa, Asia and now where I live in New York. My dream to this day remains to live at 8,000 feet like I did with you all that summer at the ranch.
