The Mission of the Kent Place Athletics Department is to build strong, confident, self-assured young women through their experience in our athletic programs. Our highly skilled coaches are educators who are passionate about their craft and seek to impart their wisdom to our student athletes. We believe that participation in athletics is an integral part of the overall school experience for our students, and our athletic teams are a source of pride for the Kent Place community. Our philosophy is to provide a competitive athletic program where our student-athletes can reach their full potential.

Kent Place recognizes that excellent coaches support the foundation of the school’s mission. Our coaching faculty is made up of a diverse group of women and men who inspire scholar athletes to be leaders of exemplary character. They have the expertise to assist each individual in achieving her full potential; to develop a passion for sport; to gain confidence; to act respectfully; to lead; and to develop responsibility for herself and others in the global community.

KPS continually seeks coaching candidates who reflect these qualities themselves; who possess the communication skills to guide student athletes in meaningful and productive ways; who have a passion for deepening their own learning in sports, love teaching young people; and who can make positive contributions to the collegial environment at the school.

As the only non-sectarian girls' day school in New Jersey, Kent Place provides a rigorous and fulfilling education for more than 600 students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. Our 26-acre campus in Summit, New Jersey, draws families from more than 80 communities.
