Kickball Umpire

The Arena District Athletic Club currently has openings for Kickball Umpire.

Join our dynamic team as a Kickball Umpire! We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for sports and a keen sense of fairness to officiate kickball games in our recreational league. As a Kickball Umpire, you will play a vital role in ensuring that games are played in accordance with the rules while fostering a fun and competitive environment for players.

- Officiate kickball games by enforcing the official rules and regulations.
- Make timely and accurate calls regarding fair and foul balls, outs, and other game-related situations.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward players, coaches, and spectators while managing in-game situations.
- Communicate effectively with players and coaches to explain decisions and encourage sportsmanship.
- Monitor player conduct and ensure compliance with league policies and rules.
- Maintain game equipment and ensure the playing field is safe and ready for play.
- Attend any pre-season training sessions and meetings to stay updated on rules and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other umpires and league officials to facilitate smooth game operations.
- Keep track of game scores and statistics as needed.

- Previous experience in officiating, umpiring, or coaching is preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of the rules of kickball/baseball and general sportsmanship principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions and remain composed under pressure.
- Physical ability to move around the field and maintain an active presence during games.
- Availability for evening shifts during the season.
- Must be at least 18 years old.

It pays $15.00 Hourly wage and includes access to the gym. Those hired will be independent contractors.
